U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres gave an update on conditions in Ukraine, saying the nation is on “fire” and being “decimated” as Russia continues its invasion of the country. He called Russia placing its nuclear posture on high alert a “bone-chilling development” and said the potential for nuclear war is “within the realm of possibility.” He made these statements while calling for a diplomatic solution that would bring bring peace to the region and prevent any potential escalation. close
