Secretary Blinken addressed the latest developments regarding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, including the news of the U.S. sending Ukraine advanced rocket systems. “Our objective, of course, is to help the Ukrainians bring this aggression to an end,” he said. Secretary Blinken also talked about competing against China’s “illiberal order” as well as cooperating with the country whenever possible. Finally, he spoke about the U.S. “re-calibrating” its relationship with Saudi Arabia--especially in regard to the Yemeni Civil War and advancing human rights--as well as the Taliban and the regression of women’s rights in Afghanistan.
