A group of appellate attorneys assessed the Supreme Court’s 2022 term rulings and the impact on society during a discussion hosted by the George Mason Law School. Rulings discussed included ones on affirmative action, free speech vs. LGBTQ rights, and federal election law. The attorneys also touched on what to look out for in the new 2023 term set to begin in October. One of the high-profile cases granted so far concerns a federal ban on guns for people who are under restraining orders for domestic violence. The justices will be determining whether this ban is constitutional. close
