Survivors of child sexual abuse and human trafficking recounted their experiences and detailed how they were victimized before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance. The survivors joined advocates for child safety and against human trafficking to testify on ways to protect children amid a rise in online child sexual abuse content. Several topics were addressed, including concerns of child exploitation and human trafficking at the southern border, ways to hold social media companies accountable for content, how children had become targets of human traffickers, and the need for increased resources to address mental and physical health concerns of survivors. close
