The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women held a discussion on religious liberty and court cases to protect it nationwide. Christiana Kiefer, senior counsel with the Alliance Defending Freedom highlighted several religious liberty cases the group was working on. One of those cases was a Colorado baker who already won in the Supreme Court in 2018 for refusing, based on his religious beliefs, to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple. Jack Phillips was sued again under Colorado’s anti-discrimination law for refusing to make a cake for a gender transition. The case would soon go before the Colorado Supreme Court. close
