Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin made his first public appearance since he was hospitalized for complications from a procedure to treat prostate cancer, making opening remarks at a virtual meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. He said, “we must not waver in our support for Ukraine,” and he thanked foreign allies for their security assistance.
