“We’re going to make building hardware sexy again,” said Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo as she discussed the CHIPS and Science Act and investments in technology at an event hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The secretary announced a 20% leading-edge chips production goal by 2030 and highlighted the significance of this goal, stating that "today we are at zero". In addition, she discussed investments in artificial intelligence, supply-chains, and the semiconductor industry workforce. close
