State and local election officials, including secretaries of state Jocelyn Benson (D-MI) and Wes Allen (R-AL), testified before the Senate Rules Committee on election preparation, administration, and security, with a focus on the 2024 election cycle. Several topics were addressed, including election worker protections, cybersecurity, challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI), and protecting against misinformation and disinformation.
