“In America, we respect and protect the fundamental right to free speech. ... I understand. That’s America. But there is no place on any campus in America--any place in America--for antisemitism or hate speech or threats of violence of any kind,” said President Biden as he delivered remarks at the U.S. Capitol to commemorate the Holocaust. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) joined Holocaust survivors and other lawmakers as they condemned antisemitism and stressed their support for the Jewish community. The Holocaust Memorial Museum hosted this ceremony. close
