Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Anne Milgram testified on President Biden’s 2025 budget request before a House Appropriations subcommittee. She discussed efforts to bring fentanyl traffickers to justice, including ongoing investigations and charges against members of the Sinaloa and Jalisco drug cartels and Chinese chemical companies. She further said that the U.S. and China had begun working together on this issue ever since President Biden met with President Xi in November.
