Professor William Chafe discussed his book "Never Stop Running: Allard Lowenstein and the Struggle to Save American Liberalism", published by Basic Books, and the process he went through to get the book published. The book examines the life of Allard Lowenstein who was an influential liberal in the civil rights and anti-Vietnam War movements. He was eventually ostracized by fellow radicalized liberals and was assassinated in 1980 by a mentally ill former protege named Dennis Sweeney. close
