President Bill Clinton spoke at the 50th anniversary of D-Day and visited the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial above Omaha Beach in Colleville-Sur-Mer, France. The president paid tribute to the Americans who served in the Normandy campaign and those who died in World War II. He said that to build upon the sacrifice of D-Day’s heroes America must expand freedom’s reach forward.
