President Clinton spoke at a tribute to House Minority Leader Robert Michel of Illinois. The President explained what an honor it was for him to give the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Congressman Michel. The President claimed that he enjoyed working with the Congressman on many projects regardless of whethter agreed or disagreed. The President also thanked Michel for his work in passing the NAFTA. President Clinton stated that he appreciated always knowing that Bob Michel stood for whatever he believed was best for the nation. close
