This session of the United States House of Representatives began with a vote on business discussed from the previous day. After the vote, the House proceeded with Minute Speeches. The House then moved into a debate on Mortgages & Lending Laws. The bill places a temporary freeze on certain lawsuits filed under the Truth in Lending Act. The bill updates the list of offenses that fall under the Rico statute. The bill concerns surveys of children which are funded by the Federal Government. Parental consent would be required before minors could be asked certain personal questions. Questions include those on sex, religion, mental or physical problems, or political beliefs.
