President Clinton, Secretary Jesse Brown, and others paid tribute to veterans of all U.S. military services. In his remarks, the president focused on the example of unity of belief in American ideals by U.S. military veterans. He also urged the crowd to honor Senator Bob Dole for his service and pledged to help all those veterans of the Gulf War have unexplained illnesses.
