Steve Forbes, President and CEO of Forbes Magazine, and former 1996 Republican candidate for president, spoke about the U.S. role in the global economy. He emphasized that the U.S. is at an economic and political crossroads in which it must decide to seize the opportunities which present circumstances offer. He highlighted several obstacles to the U.S. ability to fulfill its economic destiny, including reforms in regulation, education, the legal system, the tax system and entitlements. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the audience. close
