President Bill Clinton told the leaders of the National Governors Association (NGA) that in his State of the Union Address he will outline the challenges he sees for him, the Congress, the states, local communities and private citizens. He said that he will focus on education and welfare reform and other issues of common concern. At today’s NGS meeting, the President said that he looked forward to discussing the issues of welfare reform, Medicare spending, education, the environment, and transportation. close
