In the first of a series of briefings for congressional staff, the National Center for Policy Analysis hosted a panel on health care issues. In this portion participants discussed various proposals to provide health insurance for the estimated 10 million uninsured children. They examined issues such as how and whether these children can be covered with either private or public insurance, and the scope of the problem. President Bill Clinton had stated that this should be a top priority for the 105th Congress. After individual presentations, the panelists took questions from the audience. close
