Ambassador Philip Wilcox talked with reporters about the findings in the State Department’s annual report, 1996 Patterns of Global Terrorism. He pointed out that the number of terrorist acts fell to a 25-year low in 1996, but the number of casualties appeared to be rising. He said that Iran “remained the premier state sponsor of terrorism.” He took questions from the press. close
