President Clinton gave the commencement address before over 900 graduating cadets at the U.S. Military Academy. The president congratulated the class on joining the Long Gray Line and called them “remarkable.” President Clinton talked about his recent trip to Europe to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Marshall Plan and the goal of a “peaceful, democratic and undivided Europe.” Following his remarks the president was presented with a mounted tar bucket by the class of 1997. close
