Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) responded to the announcement by state attorneys general of a settlement with the tobacco industry. They expressed concern about the adequacy of the announced settlement, including the level of compensation and the end of tobacco advertising which targets young people. Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA) joined the senators at the news conference. close
