The Senate Armed Services Committee meets to consider the nomination of

General Peter Pace, USMC for reappointment to the grade of general and as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; Admiral Edmund P. Giambastiani, Jr., USN for reappointment to the grade of admiral and to be vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and General T. Michael Moseley, USAF for reappointment to the grade of general and to be Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

Witnesses testified about military structure and strategy, operational missions overseas, force requirements in Iraq, and joint operations. close
