President Obama paid tribute to America’s veterans by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, after which he and others addressed military personnel, dignitaries, and veterans in the amphitheater. President Obama in his remarks praised present and past servicemen and women. Of the current generation, he said, “They chose to serve the cause that is greater than self, many even after they knew they’d be sent into harm’s way. And for the better part of a decade they have endured tour after tour in distant and difficult places.” close
