Members of the Human Resources subcommittee of the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee released a report on Gulf War illness. The report makes several recommendations, including creating an agency outside Veterans' Affairs and the Defense Department to conduct further research into these illnesses and necessitating presidential authority to use experimental drugs on military personnel. The members stressed the need for more accountability and compassion from the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs'. close
