Senate Appropriation Subcommittee members heard testimony from Director Louis Freeh, Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Ernest Allen, President & CEO, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, on existing programs and additional initiatives and funding requests to prevent the exploitation of children through the Internet. They testified about both public information efforts and enforcement improvements and where additional improvements need to be made, including better coordination between agencies, and better training and technology for agents. close
