Tom Shales talked about the book he co-authored with James Andrew Miller, Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live, published by Little, Brown and Company. The book consists of interviews with writers, guests and cast members to form an oral history of the process of creating a weekly, 90-minute, live comedy show. The book covers the conception of the show in 1974 through 2002. He spoke at the National Press Club Book Fair in Washington, D.C. close
