The House continued consideration of H.R. 2100, to authorize appropriations for the Defense Department over the next two years. The Schroeder amendment reducing American troops in Europe to less than 100,000 by the 1995 fiscal year, the Dorgan amendment which would require the President to achieve cost sharing agreements with nations with the United States has bilateral or multilateral defense agreements, and the Bryant amendment, that places a limitation on the number of employment positions filled by foreign nationals at United States military installations outside the United States, were all agreed to. The House agreed to H.Con. Res. 155, expressing the profound regret of the Congress regarding the assassination of Rajiv Ghandi of India. close
