Debra Burlingame offered her perspective on the 9/11 Commission recommendations, the effectiveness of the Commission, and the role that 9/11 families should play in policy-making. Her brother, Charles F. Burlingame, was the pilot of American Airlines flight 77, which crashed at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. She has been critical of the Commission and some of the actions of 9/11 family members. She responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail. close
