Senator Pryor talked about this week’s Senate debate on fuel economy standards. The Senate energy legislation contains a provision raising the average fuel economy standards for all vehicles to 35 miles per gallon by 2020. The senator has introduced an amendment to raise Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards to 36 mpg for cars by 2022 and 30 mpg for light trucks by 2025.
