Senator Mel Martinez spoke about his childhood in Cuba, specifically the transition from his native Cuba to the US. He talked about the effect of the Castro revolution on him and his family. The dangers of the revolution led to Senator Martinez enrolling in the Peter Pan Program, which integrated Cuban children in to the US. He answered questions from the audience.
