Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) warned senators that when they returned after the August 2014 break, there would be no weekends off until the next break at the end of September 2014, when lawmakers recessed for the November elections. He said the Senate would be working on federal spending, extending certain tax breaks, continuing the Export-Import Bank, and a number of other issues. close
