Law professors talked about the origins of the Magna Carta and its influence on the U.S. Bill of Rights.

This event took place at the Library of Congress, where a 1215 copy of the Magna Carta was on display. King John originally signed the document, under pressure from his barons, at Runnymede, England. American revolutionaries looked to the rights guaranteed by the Magna Carta when they rebelled against the English crown. close
