Jerry von Halle talked about growing up in Germany and moving to Holland when Adolf Hitler gained power. After being released from prison by claiming he had tuberculosis, he went into hiding with his parents. He also spoke about what it was like to immigrate to the U.S. after being liberated by Canadian troops.
