President Bush urged Americans to remember the U.S. armed forces abroad, and the children of Somalia this holiday season in remarks he made at the ceremony to light the national Christmas tree on a rainy night in Washington. The ceremony included a brief skit based on Dickens' “A Christmas Carol,” from a choir, and songs by Lucy Arnaz. At the end of the ceremony, President and Mrs. Bush joined Ms. Arnaz, weatherman Willard Scott, dressed as Santa Claus, and two large M&M candies on stage. close
