News headlines were read and phone lines were open for viewer calls on House Speaker Paul Ryan’s response to Donald Trump’s call for a ban on Muslims traveling to the U.S.. Speaker Ryan said that Mr. Trump’s proposal is “not conservatism,” not what the Republican Party stands for, and “not what this country stands for.”
