The House debated and passed an approximately $400 billion budget deal.
The agreement raises the limits on both defense and non-defense spending by $131 billion for 2018 and 2019, and it continues government funding through March 23, 2018. The deal also provides a little more than $89 billion in aid for recent natural disasters, suspends the debt limit through March 1, 2019, extends several tax breaks that expired and continues the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
