"Families Belong Together" Rally (Additional Live Footage)

A rally was held in Lafayette Square in downtown Washington, DC near the White House to protest immigration policies of the Trump administration. Called, “Families Belong Together,” the event featured many activists and undocumented immigrants and children who shared their stories of separation. Several celebrities also spoke including Alicia Keys and composer and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda. The rally was one of many planned demonstrations around the country. The lead organizers of the event included MoveOn.org, the ACLU, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and the National Domestic Workers Alliance. close
