President Trump welcomed Representative Jeff Van Drew to the Republican Party at the White House. The New Jersey lawmaker recently switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party and had voted against the two articles of impeachment against President Trump. Representative Van Drew told reporters the switch was a better fit for him and that the president has his undying support. Also in attendance were Vice President Mike Pence and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). President Trump also answered a few questions on the impeachment vote and other issues. close
