While making remarks from the Munich Security Conference in Germany, Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said Iran is ready to make a good deal regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), but that the U.S. and its allies must make a good faith effort by lifting economic sanctions against Iran. He also said that Iran wants guarantees the U.S. will not leave the deal again, as during the Trump administration, when a new administration comes in to power. Regarding the JCPOA, the foreign minister said “Americans ruined it. It was the Americans who withdrew from it. They downgraded its significance, it’s importance.” close
