Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) delivered remarks on the U.S.-South Korea relationship during a forum on the U.S.-Korea alliance hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. He touched on the importance of the 70th anniversary of alliance, the newly-formed U.S.-Korea-Japan relationship, economic challenges posed by China, security in the Indo-Pacific region, and how Russia’s war in Ukraine has impacted the global order. Also discussed was the potential for a government shutdown and how that might affect foreign policy. close
