Former U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Mark Green delivered remarks at the Society for International Development-United States' 2024 annual conference, with the theme “World in Crisis: Sparks of Hope.” Mr. Green reported that there were 130 million refugees in the world, caused by various forces like extreme weather and authoritarian regimes, and said it was important to help developing nations become self-reliant. he is president and CEO of the Wilson Center and served as a Republican U.S. representative for Wisconsin (1999-2007). close
