Ambassador Han spoke about the North Korean nuclear issue and the political situation in South Korea. After his prepared remarks, he took questions from the press. On August 13th, North Korea agreed to freeze their plutonium program and abide by the terms of the nuclear non- proliferation treaty. In exchange the U.S. pledged not to use nuclear weapons against North Korea. close
