User Clip: president signs bill into law

President Clinton signed the Family and Medical Leave Bill. It was passed by Congress yesterday and is the first piece of legislation that President Clinton has signed into law. After the president signed the bill, Vice President Gore spoke about the importance of the bill and introduced Ms. Yandle. Ms. Yandle spoke about how the bill would help her family. President Clinton then spoke about the legislation and the efforts that went into passing it. Various other supporters of the bill and political leaders each spoke in turn, praising the success of their efforts. close
