- In December 2015 Jalil Aziz was charged with providing material support to ISIL
- Jalil was raised with little contact with any family members outside of his parents
- Jalil was imprisoned in his own home by his parents
- Jalil was consistently berated, criticized and critiqued his whole life, by the very people who were suppose to comfort and support him, his parents
- Jalil was prevented from communicating with family and in turn sought acceptance online
- His parents did not allow him to attend a brick and mortar school except for two years when his mother taught at the same school
- Jalil has been home-schooled by his mother, with an exception of those two years, and at age 21 he still has no diploma or GED
- Throughout Jalil's life he was prevented from working having friends, attending school, visiting family or having any life outside the house. close
