The U.S. Senate votes 56-41 on a resolution ending military assistance in the war in Yemen. Senators also approve, by voice vote, a second resolution by Foreign Relations Committee Chair Bob Corker (R-TN) supporting a diplomatic solution in the civil war and condemning the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The resolution says that "the Senate believes Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is responsible for the murder" of Jamal Khashoggi. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the resolution send a clear and unambiguous message about how the U.S. feels about Khashoggi's killing. close
