Alan Dershowitz and Adam Schiff Debate Whether Quid Pro Quos Matter

Alan Dershowitz, one of President Trump's attorneys and Adam Schiff, the lead House manager respond to questions from Senator Cruz about whether it matters if there was a quid pro quo in President Trump's decision to withhold aid to Ukraine. Mr. Dershowitz argues that a quid pro quo cannot result in impeachment if the president believes it "will help him get elected in the public interest." Mr. Schiff responds by asking what would happen if President Obama in 2012 told the Russian leader he will withhold aid to Ukraine if he would dig up dirt on his rival, Mitt Romney. "All quid pro quos are not the same. Some are legitimate and some are corrupt, and you don't need a mind reader to figure out which is which.
