Following briefing at DEA headquarters on its One Pill Can Kill initiative, Attorney General Merrick Garland says the DOJ and DEA are working to disrupt and dismantle the drug cartels producing and moving fentanyl across the U.S. border with Mexico. He says that the DEA has seized over 10 million fake fentanyl pills and 982 pounds of fentanyl powder in 389 investigations in 201 cities since May--enough to kill 36 million Americans. He also urges Americans not to take drugs that are not prescribed to them, and he says they should not take a pill from a friend or a pill that they can buy on social media. close
