The Senate Select Committee on Ethics continued its investigation into charges pending against five United States senators regarding their possible improper influence of federal bank regulators. Senators Riegle, Cranston, DeConcini, Glenn, and McCain were accused by Edwin Gray of making improper suggestions to influence bank regulators from moving to close the now-defunct Lincoln Savings and Loan of California. close
