States and Energy Initiatives

Speakers addressed the National Governors Association' centennial meeting and spoke about energy policy and state government. Mr. Malone talked about the opportunities businesses and states have to moderate the growing demand for energy, advance a diverse portfolio of resources, and create long-term opportunities for research and development. Mr. Vaitheeswaran talked about the potential for new technologies to address the nation’s current energy challenges and the role of states in helping to support innovative solutions. They responded to questions from governors attending the session.

Following the discussion, the Distinguished Service Awards and the Corporate Fellow Tenure Awards were presented.
