Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on the results of House Republican leadership elections. Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) won the election to replace outgoing Majority Leader Eric Cantor, who lost in the Virginia primary. Representative Steve Scalise (R-LA) was elected as the new majority whip. Representative McCarthy and Scalise were shown talking to reporters as they walked back to the Capitol. close
